Vacu-Boom picks wash water up off of concrete or asphalt. Place the hollow flexible snake dam around the washing area. The Vacu-Boom will seal itself against the pavement like a giant suction cup. Air and waste water are drawn into the Vacu-Boom through small slots. Made of a durable fabric backed with non-absorbing foam, flexible tube with strong molded ABS plastic "turtle shell" ribs and end pieces for maximum strength. Sections are five feet in length and clip together. Available in 5, 10, 15 and 20 ft. sections.

Includes 180 CFM vacuum with an amazing 100" of lift! This 115v vacuum was designed to pick up spills with its dual-bypass power head. Has a fully intergrated sumbmersible pump unit with water level control and check valve to make it a fully automatic system. Comes with a 33' of 1 1/2" translucent suction hose with a swivel on both ends and a 3-piece s.s. wand and a wet pickup nozzle. Has a 42' 3-wire electricalcord, large wheels for easy movement and a one year warranty.

What is Vacu-Boom?

An innovative and practical waste water capture system to prevent run-off from washing operations indoors and outdoors and a highly effective spill containment system for many hazardous materials.

The Vacu-Boom system is engineered to be used in a wide variety of industrial and commercial applications where chemicals and fluid waste must be contained and/or captured and removed from the site.

The Vacu-Boom is a hollow, flexible tube five inches in diameter that is placed directly on a hard surface to form a downslope side dam or to completely encircle the wash or containment area. The boom has a C shaped cross section with the open side down. There are small liquid inlet openings on the water side of the boom at the bottom edge. During use, the boom is connected by a 25 ft. vacuum hose to the portable wet vacuum recovery unit.

How does Vacu-Boom work?

When the wet vac system is turned on, the Vacu-Boom tightly seals itself to the surface like a giant suction cup, to form an impervious liquid barrier. Simultaneously, the waste water or other liquid is extracted into the boom and travels with the airflow through the boom and vacuum hose into the sump of the vacuum unit. The vacuum unit is equipped with an automatic pump out system which discharges water through a discharge hose into a holding tank, filter unit or sanitary sewer.

When containing highly toxic materials or flammable liquids that should not be drawn into the vacuum unit, the vacuum is used only to create a tight seal between the boom and the surface. The liquid is not extracted through the boom and vacuum.
